Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for enterprise optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in prototyping new quantum processors
- Establish fault-tolerance protocols for quantum systems operating at 20+ qubit coherence
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on quantum-resistant cybersecurity frameworks
- Author technical whitepapers for IEEE and Nature Quantum journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or superconducting circuit design
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum development frameworks
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and quantum error correction
- Security clearance for government-contracted projects preferred
- Expertise in tensor network simulations for quantum circuit optimization
