Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Establish quantum error correction protocols for industrial-scale systems
- Partner with NASA and DARPA to implement quantum solutions for space exploration
- Create patentable quantum hardware innovations with commercial viability
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum computing or quantum information
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit design frameworks
- Proven track record of scaling quantum systems beyond 1000 qubits
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience securing $10M+ in quantum computing research grants
- Fluency in quantum machine learning libraries (e.g., PennyLane, QML)
