Responsibilities
- Architect quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and simulation challenges
- Design fault-tolerant quantum circuits operating at sub-10mK temperatures
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams of physicists, engineers, and ML specialists
- Develop error-correction protocols for 1000+ qubit systems
- Secure patents and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Advocate quantum computing standards to IEEE and NIST
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry impact)
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in superconducting qubit architectures or topological quantum computing
- Proven track record of commercializing quantum technologies
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
- Security clearance eligibility (US citizenship required)
