Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum neural networks for next-generation AI systems
- Develop error-corrected quantum algorithms exceeding classical computational limits
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-ML hybrid architectures
- Secure $5M+ in federal research grants through compelling technical proposals
- Author 3+ peer-reviewed publications in Nature/Science annually
- Mentor PhD researchers and patent 2+ quantum computing innovations yearly
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-cooled AI accelerators
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computational Science, or equivalent with 5+ years research
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane with 50+ quantum algorithm implementations
- Published work in top-tier journals (Nature, PRL, etc.) on quantum machine learning
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
- Experience securing DOE/NSF grants >$1M for quantum research initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to lead international research consortia
