Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in designing and implementing quantum machine learning architectures
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Drive research initiatives in quantum neural networks and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants from NSF and industry partners
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish findings in Nature/Science journals
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into patentable technologies
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum information theory
- Expertise in Python/C++ with quantum frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience securing federal research grants
- Track record of leading technical teams to deliver breakthrough results
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
