Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees bi-weekly using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (Form 940/941, W-2/1099)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and union benefits with 100% accuracy
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies within 24 hours
- Support year-end processes including 1099/W-2 distribution and audits
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and termination paperwork
- Implement process improvements using Excel VBA and Power BI analytics
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state compliance
- ADP Workforce Now certification or equivalent ERP system proficiency
- Proven track record of 100% audit accuracy in payroll operations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Advanced Excel skills with VBA automation capabilities
- Familiarity with Maryland wage & hour regulations (MD Labor & Industry)
- PHR/SPHR or CPP certification preferred
- Ability to start employment within 48 hours of offer
