Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage the full-cycle payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. You will serve as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries and collaborate with HR and Finance departments to maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Process Payroll: Accurately calculate and process semi-monthly payroll for over 200+ employees using ADP, ensuring all deductions and additions are applied correctly.
- Compliance & Tax: Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax returns, including 941 and state quarterly reports, ensuring full compliance with FLSA and state regulations.
- Employee Inquiries: Serve as the primary liaison for payroll-related questions, resolving discrepancies and providing clear, professional explanations to staff.
- Timekeeping Management: Review and validate timecards, leave requests, and overtime entries to ensure data integrity.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate payroll records, reconciling general ledger accounts and preparing monthly payroll reports for management review.
- Benefits Administration: Assist with the coordination of payroll deductions for health benefits, 401(k), and other voluntary benefits.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of full-cycle payroll processing experience in a corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of payroll software, specifically ADP Workforce Now, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and ensure 100% accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
- Compliance Knowledge: Solid understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and FLSA requirements.
