Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Calculate and garnish deductions for taxes, benefits, and wage garnishments
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, FMLA, and Indiana state labor laws
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries within 24 hours
- Generate payroll reports for CFO and HR leadership monthly
- Coordinate year-end tax filings (W-2s, 1099s) with external auditors
- Implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables required)
- Basic understanding of payroll tax regulations (federal/state)
- High school diploma or GED with 1+ years administrative experience
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee data
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to complete paid certification training within 6 months
