Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for over 500+ employees, ensuring 100% accuracy and timely distribution.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax returns and reports (W-2s, 1099s) in compliance with FLSA and other regulatory standards.
- Process payroll adjustments, garnishments, and deductions accurately and in accordance with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with the HR team to administer benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations, ensuring data integrity.
- Conduct regular payroll audits to identify discrepancies and implement process improvements.
- Answer payroll-related inquiries from employees and management with professionalism and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within a mid-to-large sized organization.
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or Workday) and strong advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state payroll tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
