Responsibilities

  • Process Payroll: Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for bi-weekly and monthly cycles.
  • Compliance Management: Stay updated on federal (FLSA) and Pennsylvania state payroll tax laws, including filing accurate quarterly and annual returns (941, 940, State W-2s).
  • Leave Administration: Administer employee time-off requests, track vacation/sick balances, and coordinate with HR on leave of absence paperwork.
  • System Management: Maintain and troubleshoot payroll software (ADP Workforce Now or similar) and HRIS systems.
  • Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, resolving discrepancies and answering questions regarding pay stubs and deductions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyze payroll reports for management, including labor cost analysis and garnishment tracking.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably using ADP, Paylocity, or Ceridian.
  • Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and advanced knowledge of payroll tax regulations.
