Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll using ADP Workforce Now bi-weekly for salaried and hourly employees
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (CA, AZ, NV)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and 401(k) contributions with precision
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries within 24 hours via HR portal
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare quarterly/annual tax filings
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and terminations
- Audit time records and resolve discrepancies proactively
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience in multi-state environments
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
- Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Deep knowledge of CA labor laws and FLSA requirements
- BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive data
