Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 200+ employees bi-weekly using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations including NYSDOL requirements
- Manage time and attendance systems, resolving discrepancies and exceptions
- Prepare and file year-end tax forms (W-2s, 1099s) and payroll reconciliations
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with clear, timely communication
- Collaborate with HR on garnishments, benefits deductions, and new hire onboarding
- Conduct internal audits and maintain confidential payroll records
- Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state operations
- Proficiency in ADP, QuickBooks, or comparable HRIS systems
- Strong knowledge of FLSA, NY labor laws, and tax filing requirements
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation)
- CPP or FPC certification preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
