Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using [Payroll Software Name] with 100% accuracy.
- Reconcile payroll bank accounts and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax reports (Form 941, W-2s, etc.) on time.
- Answer employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, deductions, and tax information.
- Review and verify timesheets and leave of absence requests.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and personnel data.
- Assist with the annual compensation planning process.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in payroll processing, HR, or accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state labor laws and payroll tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
