Responsibilities
- Process and calculate payroll for all employees (weekly and bi-weekly) with 100% accuracy.
- Review, verify, and approve timesheets and time-off requests before processing.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws (FLSA, FICA, etc.).
- Prepare and distribute pay stubs, W-2 forms, and garnishment orders.
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve any discrepancies or inquiries from employees.
- Assist with year-end payroll tax filings and annual audits.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records in the payroll system.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or Ceridian) and HRIS systems.
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA regulations and tax compliance requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with the highest level of confidentiality.
