Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local individual and corporate income tax returns with precision and adherence to deadlines.
- Review financial statements, tax documents, and client records to ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws.
- Conduct tax research to identify applicable deductions and credits for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain complex tax matters and provide strategic tax planning advice.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and support the senior tax team during peak tax seasons.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or EA certification is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation, auditing, or accounting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, TurboTax) and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
