As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing critical insights to support our business growth. Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor payments, and ensure accurate recording of all incoming payments and customer invoices.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure balances match system records and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports, including P&L statements and balance sheets.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for a small team of employees, ensuring accurate tax deductions and compliance with labor laws.
- Compliance & Audits: Maintain organized financial documentation and assist in external or internal audits as required.
- Software Management: Oversee the daily operations of our accounting software (QuickBooks Online or Xero) and perform system updates.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage; strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
- Reliability: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote or hybrid environment.
