We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team in Laredo, TX. In this role, you will ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining strict compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using [Software Name, e.g., ADP or QuickBooks].
- Calculate and verify employee hours, overtime, and commissions accurately.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax returns and reports in a timely manner.
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees regarding pay stubs, deductions, and tax forms.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and filing systems.
- Assist with year-end tax forms (W-2s and 1099s) and year-end reconciliation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Proven experience in payroll processing (1-2 years preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws and tax regulations.
- Excellent mathematical skills and high attention to detail.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred for this Laredo-based position.
