Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit analyses of loan applications, including financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports.
- Evaluate borrower creditworthiness and risk profiles to make informed lending decisions.
- Maintain and update internal credit risk models and databases with accurate borrower information.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and reports for the lending committee or senior management.
- Monitor existing accounts for signs of financial distress or delinquency.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state banking regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial lending.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and financial analysis software.
- Strong understanding of credit risk assessment principles and lending regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly.
