Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees accurately and on time.
- Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting.
- Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
- Communicate financial data clearly to management and clients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) is required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to detect discrepancies.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
