Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements on a weekly basis.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC guidelines.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Process invoices, expenses, and payroll data accurately.
- Maintain accurate financial records and organize digital filing systems.
- Provide monthly management accounts to the Finance Director.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role (1-3 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and VAT regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) are essential.
- Experience with payroll processing is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
