Responsibilities

  • Manage Daily Financial Transactions: Accurately process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are recorded and payments are made on time.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, trial balances, and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) for clients.
  • Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and tax filings as needed, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
  • Software Management: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to input data and generate financial reports.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries regarding their financial statements and account status.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance, or completion of an accredited bookkeeping certification program (NACPB, AIPB).
  • Experience: 2-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably within a small business or accounting firm setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity across multiple ledgers.
