Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for assigned clients
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements) quarterly
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for daily transaction processing
- Coordinate with tax preparers during audit seasons
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Maryland tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple client portfolios simultaneously
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation highly desirable
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
