Key Responsibilities
- Manage Financial Records: Accurately record daily transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to maintain up-to-date ledgers.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll data and ensure all tax filings are completed accurately (if required).
- Compliance: Maintain organized filing systems for all financial documents and ensure compliance with local regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and cloud-based accounting platforms.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
- Availability: Must be available to work part-time hours (e.g., 20-25 hours per week) on-site or remotely.
