Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements monthly.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings.
- Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical financial records.
- Process payroll for assigned clients and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform internal audits and assist in budget preparation.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
