Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense tracking.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and operational reports for stakeholders.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees with high attention to detail.
- Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns and quarterly federal/state reports.
- Assist with year-end audit preparations and internal financial controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 2-3 years of professional accounting experience is required.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar cloud-based accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros).
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet strict deadlines.
