Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting and budget preparation.
- Process payroll for a select group of clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns and other required local, state, and federal tax documents.
- Maintain and organize financial records, ledgers, and spreadsheets using Excel and accounting software.
- Provide exceptional support to the senior accounting team during audit periods.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
