Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state income tax returns and sales tax filings.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are matched and payments are processed correctly.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with local labor laws.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
