Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Bookkeeping: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Payroll Assistance: Support the monthly payroll process by gathering time sheets and verifying overtime calculations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements for internal review.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial records comply with federal and state regulations and company policies.
- Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies and maintain positive relationships.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero; Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and vendors.
