Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for diverse client portfolios
- Process accounts payable/receivable and maintain accurate cash flow records
- Assist with quarterly tax preparation and compliance documentation
- Implement and optimize internal accounting controls to ensure audit readiness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and financial modeling
- Utilize QuickBooks and advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience with exposure to multi-state tax regulations
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and accounting software ecosystems
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines in a part-time capacity with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical skills with experience in reconciling complex financial discrepancies
- Excellent written and verbal communication for client-facing interactions
- Knowledge of GAAP and IRS compliance standards for Tennessee and Virginia businesses
