Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and local Pennsylvania compliance reports.
- Review and verify expense reports and invoices for accuracy and authorization.
- Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to management as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and general accounting, preferably in a small to mid-sized business.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a part-time capacity.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
