Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare month-end closing reports and financial statements
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with Illinois labor regulations
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis
- Assist with tax preparation and documentation
- Implement and improve accounting systems and processes
- Provide financial insights to clients and internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years of accounting experience with QuickBooks proficiency
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Strong understanding of Illinois tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
