Responsibilities
- Account Management: Accurately maintain and update client general ledgers, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- AP/AR Processing: Process invoices, manage accounts payable, and issue and track accounts receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation of payroll records and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Record Keeping: Organize and file financial documents, receipts, and invoices for easy retrieval.
- System Maintenance: Ensure all accounting software and databases are updated and functioning correctly during the night cycle.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; High school diploma with relevant certifications (e.g., NACPB) is acceptable.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting processes.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM) on a full-time basis.
