Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and Excel
- Reconcile bank statements and process payroll bi-weekly
- Generate monthly financial reports and variance analyses
- Manage accounts payable/receivable with zero-error tolerance
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly audits
- Implement new accounting software systems as needed
- Train junior bookkeepers on SOPs and compliance protocols
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting/Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with night shift exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- CPA or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification a major plus
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and IRS tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and error-prevention skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional off-site document delivery
