Responsibilities
- Manage and process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and post journal entries for the monthly and annual closing processes.
- Generate and distribute financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to management.
- Assist with payroll processing for night operations, ensuring all data is entered correctly.
- Review and code invoices, verifying them against purchase orders and contracts.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial documents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
