Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of daily bookkeeping operations during the night shift, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Process and post invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments promptly.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing trial balances and financial reports.
- Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical financial records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and local financial regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the day shift team regarding outstanding issues and transactions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and resolve discrepancies.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision during night hours.
- Reliable transportation is required.
