Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client portfolios including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare month-end closing reports with variance analysis and financial statement compilation
- Maintain accurate QuickBooks databases with real-time transaction entries and account reconciliations
- Process payroll bi-weekly ensuring compliance with federal and New Mexico state regulations
- Assist with annual tax preparation documentation and audit support materials
- Implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent discrepancies
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly reviews and annual examinations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop/Online and Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
- Proven track record of processing high-volume transactions with 99.9% accuracy
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and New Mexico tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with demonstrated ability to identify discrepancies in financial data
- Professional certification (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor, AIPB) preferred
- Reliable transportation and ability to work independently during evening hours (6 PM - 2 AM)
- Previous night shift experience in finance/accounting strongly preferred
