As a Night Shift Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity by managing the closing of daily books, processing payroll, and ensuring all financial records are up to date while the rest of the world sleeps. Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Process payroll and expense reports with high accuracy and strict adherence to company policies.
- Generate and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, before the morning team arrives.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures and audit preparation.
- Manage bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to transfer information and resolve urgent financial issues.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night shifts.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation (as this role requires strict adherence to the night shift schedule).
