Responsibilities
- Process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure balances are correct.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and closing procedures.
- Review and code invoices for payment, verifying compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
- Manage payroll processing for night shift staff within the accounting system.
- Perform routine audits of financial documents to identify discrepancies and prevent fraud.
- Collaborate with day-shift management to ensure a seamless handover of financial data.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general ledger accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Mandatory: Must be available and willing to work a full-time night shift schedule (e.g., 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and error-free execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision in a quiet environment.
