In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization by managing accounts, reconciling transactions, and supporting our dynamic team during off-hours operations.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process and verify high-volume invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments to vendors while managing incoming customer payments.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure all financial records are up-to-date and error-free.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, variance analysis, and trial balances.
- Month-End Close: Support the accounting team with month-end close procedures, including journal entries and accruals.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with internal controls, company policies, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Ad-hoc Support: Respond to financial inquiries from internal departments and external auditors as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for night shift or 24/7 facility experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse teams.
- Work Schedule: Must be available to work the night shift (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to detect discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
