Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures during the designated night shift hours.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and post journal entries, adjusting entries, and accruals as required by GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, variance analysis, and operational audits.
- Review and approve invoices and expense reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation for easy retrieval.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume or night shift environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Must be available to work rotating 3rd shift hours (typically 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
