Responsibilities
- Manage end-of-day reconciliation and financial reporting during night shift hours
- Process month-end closing activities including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Collaborate with AP/AR teams to resolve outstanding discrepancies
- Support tax preparation and compliance documentation
- Implement process improvements for night shift financial operations
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- Minimum 3 years' experience in night shift accounting role
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (SAP/Oracle preferred)
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS standards
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision overnight
- Experience with multi-currency transactions and international reporting
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines in high-pressure environments
