Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Accurately process accounts payable and receivable transactions during night hours.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Generate and review nightly financial reports, ensuring all data is current and error-free.
- General Ledger: Maintain and update the general ledger, posting journal entries as needed.
- Assist with Audits: Prepare documentation and support internal or external audits with a focus on night-shift generated data.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting procedures comply with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to month-end close processes.
- Software: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies quickly.
- Schedule: Must be available to work a consistent night shift schedule (e.g., 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM).
