The Role:
As a Night Shift Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and maintaining the general ledger. This is a vital position that requires a high level of analytical skills and the ability to work autonomously.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and posted on time.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with high precision.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Reconcile inter-company accounts and assist with month-end close procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a night shift or high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines without direct supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
