Job Description
We are on the brink of a technological renaissance, and Aether Systems is at the forefront of the Project 2026 initiative. We are looking for a visionary Lead Quantum Architect to design the computational infrastructure of tomorrow. In this role, you will bridge the gap between theoretical quantum mechanics and practical, scalable software solutions, helping us unlock processing power that was previously thought impossible. Join us in shaping the future of computing and securing our position as an industry leader in quantum supremacy.
Responsibilities
- Architect and design scalable quantum computing solutions and error correction protocols tailored for next-generation hardware.
- Lead a high-performance team of quantum physicists and software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- Translate complex quantum algorithms into efficient, production-ready code using Python, C++, and quantum software stacks.
- Collaborate with R&D departments to optimize quantum hardware performance and minimize error rates.
- Define architectural standards and best practices for quantum integration within cloud environments.
- Conduct rigorous performance testing and validation of quantum prototypes before deployment.
- Communicate complex technical strategies to stakeholders and investors to drive project vision.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in quantum computing, quantum cryptography, or high-performance simulation.
- Proven expertise in programming languages such as Python, C++, and frameworks like Qiskit or Cirq.
- Strong background in classical software architecture, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and their practical application in software engineering.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring technical teams.
- Experience with agile methodologies and full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
