What You Will Do
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Input and maintain financial data into accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero).
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Process payroll entries and maintain employee time sheets.
- Perform routine audits of financial documents to ensure compliance.
Who We Are Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic math skills and the ability to work with numbers efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn new accounting software and processes quickly.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily data entry and accounts payable processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthly.
- Assist with the month-end close process and financial reporting.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and process incoming payments.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical financial records.
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing and inquiries.
- Assist the senior accounting team with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required (Associate's degree preferred).
- 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or administrative role is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables are a bonus).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP familiarity is helpful).
- Strong computer literacy and typing skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent time management skills.
