We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our high-growth finance team in San Francisco. You will work closely with senior accountants to maintain financial records, assist with month-end close procedures, and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly and annual financial closing procedures and journal entries.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports and documentation.
- Support the finance team with budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Conduct basic audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
- No prior professional experience required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Basic understanding of accounting software and ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
