Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Perform daily accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment generation.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by compiling and organizing financial data.
- Maintain and update the general ledger system, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and government reporting documents.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting support to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (internships considered).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP, debit/credit, reconciliation).
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
