As a key member of our team, you will manage the financial lifecycle of our clients, ensuring compliance and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Handle daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports for management review.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in the processing of payroll for small to medium-sized businesses, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are correct.
- Month-End Close: Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by gathering necessary documentation and adhering to deadlines.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their financial inquiries and document requests.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial staff.
- Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Professionalism: High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial data.
