Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neural interfaces)
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks to anticipate market shifts and competitive landscapes
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future scenarios into actionable business strategies
- Author thought leadership reports and white papers on technology convergence and disruption
- Advise executive leadership on innovation portfolio allocation and R&D prioritization
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and academic researchers
- Monitor geopolitical and socio-technical factors influencing technology adoption curves
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Management, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8 years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in scenario planning and technology impact assessment methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, biotech, nanotech) and their convergence
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into coherent narratives
- Experience presenting to executive audiences and influencing high-stakes decisions
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., CFP) or relevant technology foresight program
- Portfolio demonstrating published futurist work or implemented strategic initiatives
