Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026+ strategic foresight framework using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-facing concepts
- Produce quarterly Future Impact Reports quantifying opportunities/threats in emerging tech (AGI, quantum computing, neurotech)
- Design and execute strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Mentor a team of 5 futurists and innovation specialists
- Present strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors and executive leadership team
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of translating future insights into billion-dollar business strategies
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Strategy, or related field
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum computing)
- Published thought leadership in future-focused publications (e.g., MIT Tech Review, WIRED)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from the Association of Professional Futurists)
